Happy Mother’s Day! ❤️

Dear Mrs Mom,

Throughout my life, you’ve loved me with all your heart and you’ve always stood by my side. So in return for your love, I’ve written a special poem dedicated to you…

My Pawsome Mother!

My mother is pawsome, she’s the best ever,

I wouldn’t want to leave her, no, I’d never!

She loves me with all her heart,

With her, I wouldn’t want to part

She’s one of a kind, she’s one in a million,

In fact, she’s just pure brilliant!

Her smile is dazzling, she shines like the sun,

If love could be measured, hers would weigh a tonne!

From the start, she was my best friend

And I know she’ll be with me right till the end

But most importantly, she cares for me,

She’s always there to keep me company

And that’s why I’m writing this on Mother’s Day,

Because I love my pawsome mother and she loves me too!

Guten tag! Wie gehts?

busy-bee.jpg

I’m sorry that I haven’t been updating you on my blog lately! A lot of things have been happening since it is the Winter Holidays. My schedule was fully packed and at the same time, I was working on my next SPECIAL project. There was also a special surprise! It wasn’t Santa Claus, it was DR AUNTIE!!!!!

surprise-04.jpg.png

She came over to visit me on Friday and it’s normal of her to come and visit me at this time of year because it’s the holidays. Perfect timing, Dr Auntie! I actually didn’t even know that she would be coming to visit me on that day! That’s because she likes to surprise me, Little Miss Diva and Baby A all the time.

As usual, she brought along a lot of gifts with her all packed into a separate bag. They were new clothes! YAY!!! There were all sorts of different clothes like fleeces, jackets, hoodies, trousers, socks, shirts, pyjamas and lots of other things. I had nearly 20 shirts that were from Dr Auntie! They had pictures of London, the USA flag, the Golden Gate Bridge, rugby teams and letters from the alphabet on them. I also received two new fleece pyjamas and I love wearing them! The person that enjoyed trying on new clothes was none other than Little Miss Diva! She just ADORED all of her new clothes.

Then, on Tuesday, me and Dr Auntie went out to buy more gifts like chocolate, chocolate and even more chocolate! Now the pantry is filled with chocolate once again!!! We also bought things like crisps, strawberry flavoured dessert sauce, mints, vitamins and shower cream. The thing that we mostly bought though was CHOCOLATE! There were tons and tons of chocolate in our shopping cart and we couldn’t fit anything else in it! When we got home, my arm was aching because I was carrying too much things home. At least I could sit down and enjoy all the food that me and Dr Auntie bought after putting down all the shopping bags!

So yes, it has been a loaded holiday so far with surprises, shopping and special projects! I am looking forward to the fun activities that I have planned for the rest of the holidays! But, don’t worry! For all of you The Box in the Window fans, Part 5 is coming out soon!!! 😉 Till next time, farewell!

My Pawsome Tuesday!

tuesday-037

Greetings, pawsome peeps! How’s it going? Hope that everything’s well.

over-the-moon

This morning, when I walked into the class, Miss Javed and my mates were discussing about the article that I wrote on leadership.Surprise, surprise! We read it through and talked about certain points in there. Then, Miss Javed printed it so we could put it up on our SMSC (spiritual, moral, social and cultural development) wall. I felt so honoured to have my article displayed on the wall. It’s really worth all the hard work that I put into it. I felt thankful to Miss Javed for the opportunity and recognition that she has given me! I really appreciate it and will use this to drive myself towards my goal in life. I will not forget to take Hazel with me on my journey to reach the stars! What a great way to start my morning, huh? 😀

After all the morning hoo-ha, we moved on to Literacy. Literacy was really interesting. We got to use thesauri for the first time (well, at least it was most of the children’s first time)!  My group had to think of 7 simple adjectives and find better words for them in the thesaurus. I managed to think of 6 words and find 3 or 4 words for each of them.

Then we had a break. When we came back in, it was time for Maths. We all went to our groups to start the lesson. In my group, we had to do equivalent fractions. Some of the children in ‘GO’ group groaned and said “Aww! 😦 “. But we had no choice and had to get on with it. As usual, we managed to answer all the questions.

Then it was lunch time. For my lunch, I had:

  1. A Southern fried veggie burger
  2. Sweetcorn
  3. Salad
  4. Apple pie
  5. Juice

By the time lunch had finished, everybody could not calm down. It’s hard to calm down when you’ve just had a break, especially when you’ve played an exciting game. At last, everyone managed to simmer down.  Then, Miss Javed proceeded with the register. After the register, Miss Javed said that we would be… MAKING COMPASSES!!! Everybody whooped “Yay!” and leaped up off their seats. Then the phone started to ring. Miss Hussain went to answer it. When she came back, she told me something. There was going to be an exciting event. It was… me and Nimah’s 2nd council meeting!

Once again, we repeated the journey that we did before. We collected Nimah, picked up the other children from the other schools and arrived at Victoria Park Primary Academy. Then, we gathered our visitor stickers again and went through to the meeting room. We then said hello to the teacher that was hosting the meeting. After that, we said our names so the teacher could put our names on the register. The next thing that we had to do was to re-cap on what we did last week.

cancel-your-meeting

Firstly, we talked about what qualities a good leader has. We went round the table and shared our ideas. Then, we put forward some points about why we think that so and so is good or why so and so is bad.

Christmas-Disco1

Then, we started talking about the Christmas disco again. We talked about the letter for it and the invitation. We were then split into 2 groups. One group would be making the invitation and the other one would be writing the letter. I was in the group that was making the invitation. I really wanted to be in this group because I’m really good at designing things. We managed to get the whole invitation done just in time. On it we had a gold background, a title, a border, pictures and writing of course!

At the end of the meeting, I gave out some of the name cards that Dr. Auntie made for me. Everyone liked them and said “Wow!”. Then, Nimah asked the teacher if we would be going to Parliament in London. The teacher replied “Yes. It has always been our tradition to go to Parliament every year.” Having heard this, the whole school council shouted “Whoo hoo!!”. Finally, it was time to go back to school sweet school.

When I got back to my class, the science lesson was already finished. I had missed the experiment! But luckily, we got to take the kit that we needed to make the compass at home. I was so relieved when I heard this.

School-Selfie

At the end of the day, I went down to Keyboard Club. When we were practicing the song that we were learning, Lean on Me, everyone managed to play it once again! Around of applause for everyone in the club! Because we could play it from start to finish, we started to learn a new song called Stay with Me. Some of us managed to play the first line of the song just before home time.

Then, I went home with Mr. Dad and spent some time with Little Miss Diva and Baby ‘A’ coz they are both poorly. 😦 As you can see, my writing is getting even more boring by the second because I am half asleep. I think that I should stop here before I make everyone else fall asleep! Good night! Don’t let the bed bugs bite!! 😉

p/s: sorry that I couldn’t reply to your email, Nimah. I was doing my writing and it was getting very late. So, I had to get ready for bed. But, I look forward to see you tomorrow in pyjamas! 😀

SURPRISE!!!!!

surprised-baby

Hey guys! Finally, it’s the weekends. Hooray! Yesterday, someone came to surprise us. It was… Dr. Auntie! All she did was get on board a train, take a taxi and drive up to my house and knock on the door. As soon as Little Miss Diva saw Dr. Auntie, she couldn’t stop rolling around. Anyway, Dr. Auntie came into my house and hugged us all. Baby ‘A’ was smiling up to his ears. As usual, Dr. Auntie had treats for us all (well, at least nearly all of us).

My gift was something that I had been longing for days…weeks…months…years!! It was… MY NAME CARDS!!!!!! 😀 Yes, you heard me right, name cards for The Pawsome Lion. Dr. Auntie had made these name cards (as shown below) by hand. She designed them, printed them, cut them, stuck them and put them in a box all by herself. And all of them were for me (and my friends, of course!). There were 114 name cards in total.

If any of you have read about the meeting then I’m sorry that the writing is not that PAWSOME. You see, because Dr. Auntie came yesterday, I couldn’t focus properly. I was thinking about partying. So my post turned out to be GRUESOME! 😛

simon-cowell-thumbs-down

Today, I gave out the name cards that Dr. Auntie gave to me. Everyone was so amazed. At first, everyone thought that it was a business card but when I told them that they were for my blog, they said, “Ohh!” 😀

wow2

I can’t be too long coz it’s Dr. Auntie’s birthday and she wants to have a movie night with me. We’ve also got a PAWSOME cake for her! 😛

p/s: Awesome, Moresome, Pawsome…Not Gruesome! 😉

Scenario and Surprise!

Hey everyone! Today was a really busy day filled with exciting news. It all started when I first arrived at school.

fireman_alarm_clip_art_22847

We had already done the register and I was putting out some Maths resources on each table. All of a sudden, the fire alarm started to ring. As usual, people were running and shouting as they rushed to the door. Even though it was just to test the fire alarm and everyone knew it, people would still be panicking. Everyone except one person. That was me! I just casually trotted along to join the line and walked outside as if it was playtime. The only thing that got me out of my good mood was the rain. Finally, when the alarm stopped ringing, everyone was back to their normal self and sitting down in the classroom.

That was the busy part of the day. The other part of the day was filled with exciting news. Miss Hussain, the teaching assistant, wrote down the link to my blog on a piece of paper. This was so I could show my blog to Mr. Shephard, the principal of the school. I went to his office and gave him the link but he was busy so he couldn’t look at it yet. He said that after he checked it out, he would come and see me. So I carried on with my day and waited and waited and waited. By this time, I didn’t think that he would get back to me. I then told myself that it’s okay and that I always have tomorrow to see him.

Surprisingly, in the middle of our Literacy lesson, Mr. Shephard came to the door of our classroom and walked inside. He took a quick scan of the room and found me sitting at a table near the corner. He strode over to me, knelt down and whispered in my ear. He said that he had already read the blog and showed it to Miss Chesney, the English Leader, and Mr. Mould, the Computing Leader. Then he said that all three of them, Miss Chesney, Mr. Mould and himself, decided to start a Boys Only Writing Club. They would also be making a blog. And the leader of the club was…ME!!!!! :O

fireworks_2749378k

I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. A Boys Only Writing Club? Making a blog? And the leader was me? It was too good to be true! He then walked out of the classroom, leaving me in shock. I looked around the classroom and everyone was busy getting on with their work. I felt like I had just killed a lion! (Not The Pawsome Lion though!) 🙂

I had just got back to my work when both Miss Javed and Miss Hussain called me. The moment I turned around, they both screamed with happiness. Then they told me to go to them and asked me what Mr. Shephard was talking to me about. I told them the “PAWSOME” news and they were both so proud. Miss Hussain even hugged me. I can still remember the last word from Miss Javed, “Great Mukhtar, now all you have to do is just say that Miss Javed is amazing!” 😀

I’m so lucky to have two “AWESOME” teachers, a “MORESOME” school with a “PAWSOME” Principal and my fantastic friends! Not to forget, my supportive and enthusiastic Mr. Dad and Mrs. Mom. I feel so grateful and honoured to get this amazing opportunity. A huge thank you to the people who made this possible: Mr. Dad and Mrs. Mom, Little Miss Diva and Baby ‘A’, my grandparents, my uncles and aunties, my cousins, Mr. Shephard, Miss Chesney, Mr. Mould, Miss Javed, Miss Hussain and to all my teachers and friends in Moseley (old school) and SHP!

p/s: Mr. Dad’s big smile + Mrs. Mom’s happy tears = PRICELESS!! 😀
