Pawsome Book Club: Spot Loves His Grandpa by Eric Hill

Welcome back to another book review from my Pawsome Book Club! This review is also going to be for a children’s book as Little Miss Diva and Baby A LOVE to read books! If you are the parent of a bookworm then this post might help you! The book that I have chosen for this review is called…Spot Loves His Grandpa by Eric Hill!

The front cover of this book is very eye-catching and bright. That is what every book should have!

The main character in this book is called Spot and he looks up to his grandpa a lot. This book tells the story of the adventures he has with him. It takes you on a journey through Spot’s and Grandpa’s life together.

Baby A loves to read this book with me. He likes to copy what I read from the book. If you have a child from 0-1 years and they love to read, they will definitely enjoy reading this book!

Finally, rating! The number of stars that I am giving this book is…5!!! 👏 This is a book your 1 year old bookworm will surely enjoy reading. The illustrations are bright and colourful, the words are easy to understand and your child can imitate the words! Want to read this book? Just visit your local library and ask about it!

Pawsome Book Club: Max at Night by Ed Vere

Namaste pawsome peeps! Everything ship-shape?

Once again, I am writing a book review for one of the books from The BFR! Since I have an ADORABLE baby brother and sister, I have decided to review a children’s book this time. I thought that it might be useful for parents that have lil’ bookworms with them! This post is featuring the one and only Little Miss Diva, my 2-year-old baby sister! So, let’s get to it! The book that I have chosen for today is called…Max at Night by Ed Vere!

One of the best things about this book is the front cover. A picture of a cute, tiny cat is all it needs to persuade a toddler to read it!

The main character in this book is called Max and it’s way past his bedtime. He is very sleepy! He is ready for bed and he needs to say goodnight to everyone. When it’s Moon’s turn, Max can’t find him! So he goes on a journey to find Moon but he can’t see him anywhere! Does brave little Max give up? NO!!! He keeps on trying until he reaches the top of the highest of high hills where suddenly, Moon coms into sight! XD Now Max can finally go to bed!

Max at Night is a book that Little Miss Diva and I enjoyed reading. She actually picked this book herself! If your child loves books and they’re getting sleepy, this is the book to take out! Little Miss Diva always likes to read this book when it’s her bedtime, and I’m sure your child will too!

Next, I need to rate this book! If I was to give this book 1 to 5 stars, it would definitely be a…5 star book! YAY!!! The amount of joy that this book brought Little Miss Diva really makes it 5 stars! The words in this book are short and easy to understand and the illustrations really explain the situation. Your toddler will fall in love with this book! If you would like to read this book with your child, visit your local library today and ask about it there!

Pawsome Book Club : Revenge of the Living Dummy by R.L. Stine

Aloha pawsome peeps! Welcome back to my Pawsome Book Club!!

In this post, I am going to be talking about another book that I have read for The BFR! The book that I have chosen to review today is called…Revenge of the Living Dummy by R.L. Stine. It is also one of the books under the Goosebumps series.

The front cover is REALLY eye-catching! A picture of an evil dummy laughing menacingly is very intimidating! No one could possibly miss that book, not even a near-sighted man!

The main characters in this book are called Britney Crosby and Molly Molloy. When Britney’s cousin Ethan comes to stay, he won’t stop tormenting her with a creepy ventriloquist’s dummy. But one night, the dummy starts acting weirdly. Is it alive, and can Britney and Molly stop it?

I am going to stop right there because I don’t want to give the whole story away! If I was Britney or Molly, I would have definitely been scared to death! If any of you pawsome peeps are into horror stuff then this is the book for you. It has everything, thrills, spills and horrors!

Next up is rating! If I was to rate this book from 1 to 5, I would give it…5 stars!!! This was a book that I thoroughly enjoyed reading and I’m sure people with a taste for horror will too! If you would like to read this book, just ask your local library about it.

The BFR – Summer Reading Challenge

Hey pawsome peeps! Hope all is well…

Yesterday was officially the first day of the Summer Holidays! Yay!!! 😎 I have got a very jam-packed plan to keep me busy all throughout the summer, and I’m sure your schedule is too. Talking about keeping ourselves occupied, a PAWSOME challenge was recently launched last week on Saturday 16th July. It was called…The Summer Reading Challenge!  📚 It is a reading challenge that takes place in the summer holidays every year.

Since The Summer Reading Challenge is a yearly thing, there is a theme for each one. This year the theme is called The Big Friendly Read and it is marking 100 years of the world’s famous storyteller, Roald Dahl! That’s why the title sounds like one of Roald’s well-known books, The Big Friendly Giant or The BFG!

Moving on, I will tell you the purpose of this challenge. Nowadays, children are playing video games and watching TV. The aim of the challenge is to encourage children to drop everything, grab a book and start reading! Believe it or not, reading can take you on the journey of a lifetime! If you want to find out more details about it, you can visit the website: http://www.summerreadingchallenge.org.uk  On their website, you will find a book count and till now, 543, 877 books have been read! WOW!!! That’s a lot! I bet that when summer ends, we can reach a million!

To complete this challenge, you will to have to read 6 library books of your choice and visit the library 3 times. As you progress throughout the challenge, you will be rewarded with amazing things like rainbow glasses and wristbands. And, at the end of the summer holidays, your local library’s representative will go to your school and give you 2 final awards, a medal and a certificate! 🏆

Last week, me and Little Miss Diva already signed up for The Summer Reading Challenge at Thimblemill Library, our local library, and we borrowed 2 books each. We also got a cool folder called The Collector Card Folder. It will be used to store our collector cards each time we visit. I have already finished my first book and I’ve just got a few more pages left in my second book. I’ll be going back tomorrow to exchange them for another 2 new books. Maybe I’ll get some collector cards then!

Pawsome Crisps: Irresistible Little Bites!

Konichiwa everybody!

Last week, I went to Mr Dad’s shop. We had very special guests from Lithuania eating in at the shop. I decided to help out by serving food and cleaning the tables. Since I was working hard (maybe…), one of the guests gave me my first £5 tip. After I received that tip, I thought to myself “If I put it in my piggybank, it’s going to stay there forever and it won’t grow! So, if I was to use it to build the foundation of my very own business, it would have been used for a good cause!’

After a short period of brainstorming, Mrs Mom and I finally found the perfect thing to do. It was my PawsomePreneur Project, it was…Pawsome Crisps! With a little help from my PAWSOME family, I managed to put all the little pieces together and finally launch my product! And only three days after launching day, I have already sold nearly twenty packets of crisps, thanks to the support of the localists!

My Pawsome Crisps are Peri Peri flavoured and they are simply irresistible! They’re crunchy, tempting and they’ve got quite a kick! The peri peri spices sprinkled over them give them a burnt orange colour and they smell PAWSOME! Even if you’re not a big fan of spicy food, you will surely fall in love with these delicious bites!

If any of you would like to try a pack of Pawsome Crisps, they are in store at Tip Top Bearwood, only £1 each! They are also available to order via Instagram, Facebook or Twitter and they will be delivered to you. I will also be running my own booth at the Shireland Hall Summer Fair which will be selling Pawsome Crisps too. Always keep a sharp eye out for Pawsome Crisps!

Last but not least, I think that you should purchase my product because part of the profit that I earn from the crisps will be used for my own charity project. I will use it to buy food and distribute it to homeless people who are out on the streets. Most of us just pass by the people sitting on the sidewalk and don’t even notice them or feel pity for them. Well, my charity project will make sure that they feel wanted in this world and provide them with enough food. I’m not just saying that you all should buy it for no reason, I’m saying it so that TOGETHER WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD!
